MILD TONER - Has a lot of humectants, Niacinamide, Ferment, etc.
It hydrates and calms the skin, and also maintains the oil-water balance.

MILD LOTION - Has a bunch of humectants and some emollients, but leans more towards the hydrating side.
It's very lightweight and fast absorbing. Perfect moisturiser for oily skin people!

👉 The combination has managed to take care of my damaged barrier & dehydration situation [my skin was wrecked when I did a salicylic acid overdose mid-july]. Sorry for hyping it too much, I legit see no drawbacks.😭 No fragrance, no EOs, hydrates the skin, supports barrier, texture is great, simple packaging - what else?

I was looking for a very lightweight yet very moisturising yet fast absorbing hand cream. And this one by @innisfreeindia ticked the first and third box ☑️ but didn't satisfy my moisturising needs.🥲 It's quite light and doesn't leave my dry hands moisturized for too long.

"But Rifat what were you expecting from a gel-based hand cream?" A miracle, okay? I was expecting a miracle.

What handcream you've been loving?

I don't like thick ones because during the panda times, I need to reapply multiple times and I can't be sitting like this 🐒 to wait for the cream to completely sink in and start working on the laptop again. Neither do I like a siliconey finish. I also want a tube because it should fit in my tiny bag but I compromised with this requirement & made a purchase. I'll tell later hihi bye.

Eid Mubarak 🎉 Yet another Eid wasted because of the panda. Just wanted to show my unfiltered hands. They've become quite dry because of the constant washing and sanitizing, and I've also slacked off when it comes to hand care. I'll talk more about it in the next post where I'm reviewing a hand cream.😌

Just sunscreen (non tinted) and a lipstick and great sunlight and good camera. The last two things are what no one talks about during discussions on filters and unrealistic beauty standards.

Pictures with zero filters can still be far from reality given you have the right lighting and a decent camera. These pictures won't stop because everyone wants to look their best especially on socials - bloggers and non-bloggers - but adjust your expectations accordingly. 🤗

Facial hair - fine lines - comedones - pores - sebaceous filaments. That's how skin looks. That's how makeup sits on the face. Don't let ultra smoothened photos make you think otherwise.

Also a reminder that skin looks different on different days. Some days you'll have more acne and enlarged pores, some days you won't. Again normal stuff that sadly still needs to be normalised.

[Save your💰] Had a horrible breakout phase last

[Save your💰] Had a horrible breakout phase last week owing to heat + humidity + pollution + mask + hormones + stress + lack of sleep + exhaustion [Maybe it's not all of them. Maybe it's Maybelline. What????]

And I didn't have all my skincare with me so picked this up from the pharmacy. The texture is siliconey so it's something I'll only use as a spot treatment when needed, not as my regular exfoliator all over the face.

SO HOW DID IT WORK FOR SPOT TREATMENT?

Slightly slow but effective but also drying. Let me break it down: My sheths Neem BHA dries out acne faster than this hence slow. The acne situation was bad until 2-3 days ago and now most of them have subsided. Hence effective. I got desperate & used it over the affected area 2x/day [even the directions say so lol] so it got drying.

👉 I loved that it also helped in calming down the redness on the skin massively!

TL;DR - Effective, very cheap and accessible.

Been trying some skincare from @qurezforyou [Sp0ns0red] and I think I've found a favourite - their sunscreen🥺 lemme know if you've tried it too!

🌞 MINERAL SUNSCREEN - I'm halfway done with this already. 2 fingers (face+neck) doesn't give me a white cast (it's more of a tone up effect on my skin) and negligible pilling (I spread, not massage). It's creamy but gives a matte, non-drying finish. Love it for my oily skin, will repurchase for sure.

💦 HYDRATING MOISTURIZER - Free from fragrance & EOs, this smells slightly like fevicol hehe. But not at all overpowering. Initially, it made me sweaty so not for oily skin in this weather. But when I restarted tret, this was perfect to combat the mild dryness I faced. It's good for moisturization as well as to maintain skin barrier.

👄LIP OIL ROLL ON - I love my lip products to be viscous and thick, and I very much stay away from oils because of the slippery feeling. I've used this only a few times on days when my lips were seriously chapped & dry and it healed them basically overnight. Keeping this for emergency repair but not using on a regular basis.

For my body, I prefer waxing because it's effortless. I just have to sit/lay down and the waxing lady does all the work. The softness, the pain, the slow regrowth - love! But I haven't gotten one in 2 years because of the panini. So what do I do? Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.👊

Just the razor gets tedious for me because I don't shave regularly. I let my hair regrow completely out of sheer laziness. So I got the cheapest decent trimmer I could find on amazon.

This one's from Syska for men because I refuse to pay the pink tax. I quickly trim the hair to the smallest length possible and then shave with Gilette Venus razor (have had it for 7 years now, I just change the cartridge). Cheap. Quick. Painless.

What do you do for hair removal? Or do you remove them at all?
