Hello! *in a dramatic tone* Presenting to you another one from The Ordinary (Told you I’m an ordinary fangirl!) Anyway, today we’re going to talk about The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% which is pretty much a life-changing product. I’d say this is my favourite product from The Ordinary till now!
Price: $9.80 (₹704) for 30ml
- Regulates sebum
- Minimizes pores
- pH 5.50-6.50
Aqua (Water), Niacinamide, Pentylene Glycol, Zinc PCA, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum, Xanthan gum, Isoceteth-20, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.
Apply to entire face morning and evening before heavier creams.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3 and Nicotinic Acid) is indicated to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes, enlarged pores and congestion. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin is supported in the formula by Zinc to balance visible aspects of sebum activity.
As I said initially, this is my favourite product from The Ordinary. This has transformed my skin, it has never looked this radiant and flawless before. Many of my friends, even guy friends (You know how men suck at giving compliments or noticing things!) have said that my skin is glowing like crazyyy!
It comes in a small, thick glass bottle which has a matte finish. The bottle is translucent which makes it easy to see how much product is left and has a dropper with a white top and it’s very easy to control the quantity you want to take. Comes enclosed in a white cardboard box and the packaging is quite elegant without a lot of drama.
Since it’s made of glass, I wrap this one in a small bubble wrap when I travel.
Texture & Smell
The product is transparent and is slightly heavier than water. It feels very lightweight and non-sticky on applying and you’ll sense a very light smell if you REALLY sniff! It doesn’t have any added fragrance, though. It spreads and absorbs very easily & quickly.
How does it work?
I have been using this product for 3 months now and it has worked extremely well for my skin. I was facing skin problems like blemished skin, excess oil production and enlarged pores on my nose and around it.
When I started using this product, I kid you not, I saw a very nice glow on my face from the first use. Initially, I used a bit more than required so it felt sticky. I reduced the quantity and from then there has been no stickiness. ?
Everytime I used this product, I would see my face producing less oil throughout the day and my pores becoming less visible. It reduced the pigmentation and made my skin even toned. Eventually, I had a very prominent glow on my face as if I have applied an expensive liquid highlighter.
I have been using The Ordinary Glycolic Acid with this, so glowing skin and pores visibility might be a result of both the products combined.
I need 2-4 drops to cover my entire face, use 1 finger to spread it on my face and let it absorb, no massaging or anything. It gets absorbed quickly and leaves no residue or sticky feeling behind. Don’t take a lot of product otherwise it’ll feel very tacky. I think with continuous use it is going to last me around 6 months.
I use it after cleansing and toning, twice a day! You can add a layer of lightweight moisturizer if needed. Since it’s so humid where I live, I leave it as is and follow it up with a sunscreen.
It’s a must-have product if you’re looking for a clearer, blemish-free skin that shines brighter than anyone’s future! Especially people who have oily skin, it works really well in controlling oil production throughout the day.
It fulfills whatever claims have been made by the brand and is a drugstore treasure! ?
Another must-have product from this brand is The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Acid Toning Solution (Click on the blue text to read it) if you’re looking to get rid of congested skin that has blackheads, comedones, etc.
