Today I’ll talk about Lotus Herbals Basiltone Cucumber & Basil Clarifying & Balancing Toner which is a refreshing toner meant for oily skin. I got my hands on this in January but discontinued using as I was trying something else (you’ll see it in my April Empties post soon). Now that I am back to using …
So I did a mini Khadi Natural Haul from Nykaa, they had their 6th Anniversary sale on and these products were at 10-15% off. So let’s move on to read first impressions and a bit more about the brand and products. Khadi offers 100% paraben free handmade herbal products that are also SLS, mineral oil, …
Let’s talk about my all-time favourite DIY face mask. If you’re an Indian, you have grown up using Fuller’s earth and rose water in almost every skin situation. This one is really easy to make and leaves your skin fresh and squeaky clean. Ideal for people who have oily, acne prone or blemished skin. What do …
Summer is here and it is so annoying to step out in this scorching heat! A few weeks ago, I got this massage gel from Khadi because it said ‘mint and aloe vera’ (and no artificial green colour unlike the aloe vera gels available in the affordable price range) Price: ₹160 for 100g …
I decided to start another project pan, this time including all the skin care products I have been neglecting and I wish to finish them off by June 2018. The current makeup project pan that I am doing is working really well for me so I am quite hopeful with this one as well. …
Hello! And Happy Easter to everyone celebrating 🙂 March is over now so let’s talk about a few beauty products I went through last month. 1. Lotus Herbals Alphamoist Alpha Hydroxy Skin Renewal Oil-Free Moisturizer Price: ₹295 for 80ml This is a really good moisturizer for oily skin, lightweight, gets absorbed easily and sets to …
So I actually went to the Patanjali store to buy honey and I spotted this tube and thought… Ok, I don’t know what I thought but I still picked it up. I have never been a fan of their beauty range, it feels gimmicky to me. For a brand claiming to be “herbal” and talking about harmful ingredients other brands use, have quite a few chemicals in their own products.
Ingredients: Aqua, pack base, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Sugandhit dravya-QS
Not a lot of information about ingredients and has parabens (if you are concerned about this ingredient).
Price: ₹60 for 60g
Claims: Clear clogged pores, cool, soothes and softens skin.
Packaging & Texture: It comes in a white tube with a flip cap. The product feels creamy and is white in colour with a slight green tint.
How to use (as written on the tube): Apply on wet face, massage gently, let it dry for 10-15 minutes and wash with water.
How I do it
I apply a thin layer on cleansed and dry face. Keep it for 10 minutes after which it dries completely. Then I use a small amount of water and massage for a few minutes, to remove the dead skin cells. Wash it off. Apply face mist followed by a lightweight moisturizer.
The smell is refreshing and familiar. A hint of cucumber and menthol but I am still missing something.
Gives a mild cooling sensation
My face looked clean post rinsing
Skin felt really soft and smooth.
It did feel slightly dry and stretchy after washing my face.
It’s an okay-ish mask for people on a very tight budget but it’s better you guys stick to DIYs. You’ll get better results with those homemade masks.
The after effects of this face pack is the same as any of my face cleansers give, sans any dryness.
I’ll give this face pack a hard pass and would rather go for Jeva Charcoal face pack which is affordable and actually works on your skin by drawing out all the gunk.
