Beauty Empties – April 2018

Monthly Empties April 2018

Hello! It’s a new month and time for another monthly empties post where I will go through my beauty empties from April. Yes I know it’s June so I should be doing May empties post. But I had my final year exams then and I couldn’t get time to do an April empties so thought of doing it at the start of June.

Anyway, let’s see what all I went through and review my trash.

April Beauty Empties

1.Banjara’s Premium Rose Water

Price: ₹ 42 for 120ml

I used this rose water as a toner for 2 months straight, twice a day. It’s a lot of product they offer at such a less price! If you’re someone just starting with a CTM routine, check it out.

Banjara's Premium Rose Water

It smells really nice, cleans the residual dirt and makeup, and skin feels firm (just a little).

Rose water is a natural toner which tightens pore and maintains pH of the skin.

It’s enriched with pure rose oil and helps maintain skin’s radiance.

It’s a multipurpose product and can be used in a variety of ways like face packs, toners, face mists, etc.

Would I repurchase? I already have a backup but have taken a break from this and moved to an acid toner.

2. Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream

Price: ₹ 150 for 100ml

I started using this in winters when my skin got dry while still secreting a lot of sebum (Weird? Yes!) It is a really good moisturizer but for people with dry to normal skin.

Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream

Since winter was over and I was still left with a lot of product I used it in the night and it hydrated my skin and made it soft.

It’s one of the most basic moisturizer available at a great price and gets the work done. If you’re someone with dry to normal skin, do give it a try.

I think this is every household’s staple and one of the most underrated moisturizers.

Would I repurchase? In winters when my skin feels weirdly dry.

3. Bio bloom Lavender Hand & Body Lotion

Price: N/A (30ml)

This was a sample sized product I received in my March Purple Glambag. It’s really difficult to like body lotions when you’re in team body butter, but this body lotion really moisturized my dry skin.

Biobloom Lavender Hand and Body Lotion

The fragrance was nice but didn’t linger for long. The texture is more on the whipped side and a little heavier so it takes more time to absorb than your regular lightweight body lotions

It gave me 8 applications and that’s pretty good for a 30ml sample especially when you’re using it on the entire body.

Would I repurchase? Not for now. With so many new products coming out it is so difficult to even repurchase products you liked using!

4. Purple EssentioNaturals Green Apple Shower Gel

Price: ₹ 288 for 50ml

This was also a part of March Purple Glam bag and I really enjoyed using this. I could even skip moisturizer if I were running too late, it did not make my skin dry or itchy and cleansed thoroughly.

Purple Essentionaturals Green Apple Shower Gel

The smell was not very heavy but refreshing and didn’t linger for long.

It lasted me 18 showers. A good number of applications for a 50ml product.

Would I repurchase? No, because I find it a little expensive for an unknown brand. Even if it was known, I still have equally good, if not better, products at less than half the price.

Using Khadi shower gel and handmade soaps for now which I hauled a few weeks ago. They’re really affordable and sans harmful chemicals.

5. L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying & Hydrating Shampoo

Price: ₹ 150 for 175ml

It is meant for people with oily scalp and dry ends. Initially, it worked really nice on me, kept my scalp oil-free for 2-3 days. My hair felt nourished, ends were just a little dry and I still skipped conditioner occasionally (I don’t like using conditioners, it’s so time-consuming!).

L'Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo

But after 6-7 usages, my scalp got oily within a day, ends became drier and I think it caused A LOT of product buildup. Hence, irritated and itchy scalp with a good amount of hair fall.

Would I repurchase? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? NEVER!

I didn’t even add props in the background with this one, I’m that petty. 😀

These were my beauty empties from the month of April and still no makeup, SADLY!

The entire cost of April’s trash comes out to be ₹630 ($9 approx.) which is way less than what I’ve been spending lately. Have to control myself and focus on utilizing what I currently have.

I’ll be uploading May Empties soon until then you can read my March 2018 Empties post.
